Maria will win it all! Thats my opinion. Dean is too bossy, and doesn't know how to work with people. John...well...he's a wedding photographer.
Yeah - I want Maria to win, but I feel it will be Dean. I missed last night and have it set to DVR to catch up with it on Wed. :)
I'm pulling for Maria too. I watch it every week online since I don't have cable. (And I'm getting antsy for them to post yesterday's episode.) It's such a guilty pleasure but I love watching how other photographers work - I wish they showed more of their photography and some of the technical stuff but I know that it's for a mass audience who couldn't care less about ISO and aperture.
I LOVE that show! I really want Dean to win it! But I wouldn't be disappointed if Maria wins either. I love Dean's style! I really liked Jason, but he made things way more complicated than they should've been. I think John should've went home this week & not Jason.
Love this show! I think Maria will win it all. However, I don't think I have much confidence in any of them pulling of the kind of national campaign they will get to do if they win. Hmm...
Haven't missed an episode! Piper stayed too long! I am glad John stayed .. he may be a wedding photographer but and even though I think he has potential .. I also think he will be 2nd runner up to deans firt runner up AND mARIA'S WIN! dEAN IS GOOD ... SEEMS QUITE KNOWLEDGABLE WITH LIGHTING AS WELL, WHICH MAYBE REALLY NEEDS TO WORK ON, but DEAN IS NOT A PEOPLE PERSON! mARIA CONNECTS WITH HER SUBJECTS REALLY WELL. i THINK THIS sUNDAY NIGHT IS "it" THE WINNER OF THE vICTORIOAS SECRET mODEL SHOOT WILL ALSO BE THE WINNER OF "tHE SHOT" .. (sorry about the caps lock!)
I like seeing how different photographers see the same scene. As far as fashion photography goes, my vote goes to Maria. She has a great rapport with her subjects and creates great poses. As far as John being a "wedding photographer"... I don't think that is his problem... it's becasue he is a little flaky! There are lots of great wedding photographers, but most of them don't shoot fashion. It really is a whole other world.
The one big downfall to the show is that they do not show more about evertyhing that really goes into the shoot. Many times they just have the contestants just step up and start shooting and it gives the impression to the general auience that our job is easy!
I agree, it seems as if there setting are all done for them, all they do is take the camera move a light and shoots.
IF anyone is on Model mayhem, Maria and Jason both post there and have been very nice, sharing what they could about the show!
I love the show! I'm thinking that Maria will probably win, though she definitely needs more work on the technical side of things. Dean takes more risks, and that shot that he took this week was amazing, but I question some of his lighting choices.
